Colour reed named after an early musical wood-wind instrument.

Construction:
Metal; narrow quarter-length cylindrical resonators soldered directly onto the block with regulating slide at the top. Provided with a small hole or regulating slot half-way up the resonator (Wurlitzer construction).

Tonality:
Light, buzzy stop with limited fundamental. Vowel tonality somewhat oboe-like. Can be used untremulated with minimal Tibia registrations for novelty effects, or in larger ensembles to provide additional harmonic colour.
